Tyler making a quick push to the front of this heat to score an A-main start.  Note Tyler hits the big tire in the bottom of the track mid way through the event bending the front axle. The impact devastates his fingers and hands in the steering wheel spokes.  Tyler holds on to finish 2nd fighting tremendous pain on what should have been a streaking out in front heat race win! Great save!

Tyler Draws attention running the top groove gunning his way towards the front at Jasksonville's 1/4 Raceway feature event. Tyler brings it home with his best Powri main event finish of 2nd place.

With the Powri series returning to the site of the season opener, This would be Tyler's first visit to Jacksonville to take on the 1/4 mile.  Starting 2nd row outside in his qualifying heat, Tyler made very quick work of rocketing off into the lead.  

Being able to see out the left side of his mini sprint is impossible due to the high engine cover and the fact the motor hangs out the side.  Tyler can't see the wheels in this car so it's all by judgement as to how close you can get to the bottom of many tracks. Even tougher when obstacles are place protruding out into the race surface. Unfortunately Tyler hits one and damages his run.

After having pain medication and hand rubs, Tyler was able to continue in the main event.  

On the start Tyler tried to make his car work around the bottom.  The car was loose and needed more forward bit to be quick down low.  After falling to 6th place from 4th, Tyler did what he does best and found a groove where he could be faster and started moving back to the front.

At race end the upper groove had diminished and Tyler had to return to the bottom groove.  Running a smart race with a race set up that was maybe only a 4th place car, Tyler's smart heads up driving scored him a Powri best finish of 2nd place!
