With 2009 behind us now we can reflect back and look forward to what awaits us at Tyler Reddick Racing this coming season.

We get asked a lot about how we think our first season racing Late Models went.  We believe when you consider that Tyler never raced a full size stockcar of any sort prior to this venture in late model racing we think Tyler did an outstanding job.

We base this on many measures of comparsion to our experience in watching Tyler grow through all the different series in his young career.

Tyler has always started to really excell when reaching the 1 1/2 to 2 year marks in every division of racing.  The most recent years we haven't stayed around much past that to achieve quick advancement on up the ladder.  Consequently, Tyler's win ratio the last couple years as fallen due to that fact.

Upon closing in on the 1 1/2 years point in any division of racing, Tyler has started to win and set the pace that has been hard to equal.

So looking back at this year I look at a couple of things to see how we're really doing and focus on these points rather any particular finish.

1. At this point has Tyler established that he has "real" speed?  Yes!

look at these two videos and you'll find what I'm looking for....speed that's capable of running away from some of the very best.

 2.  So satisfying the need for "real" speed I move on to another measurement of Tyler's progression to satisfy our progress. I look for what preliminary races did Tyler win? Tyler racked up some 5 b-main wins that satisfy this measurement and most of these wins he walked off leaving the competition behind. One race he had to battle a faster car behind him and it was interesting to see and grade his effort on that run. Couple is B-main performances and 1 heat race win (not WoO) race and I'm satisfied Tyler is on track for his normal progression to real success.

3.  How are we Qualifying?  I look at this to see if Tyler is up to his normal of being an outstanding qualifier.  Tyler  answered this without my having to really find the stats by becoming the best qualifier to not make the show out of all the World of Outlaws drivers.    The award was given at the World of Outlaws Banquet this 2009 to Tyler.  In addition, Tyler out qualified many of the other "Rookies" at most all the big events.  Like Volusia 11th and again at many other races including throughout the World Finals where every night he out qualified every other rookie driver.

So sizing all this up means what to us here at Tyler Reddick Racing?  I believe that in 2009 I would give Tyler an A+ for his driving, image building and exposure.  I couldn't have asked for anything more.  He delivered!

In 2010 it means that Tyler will win at least 1 World of Outlaws show and that is all that should be expected on this level.  By year 3 (2011) I believe Tyler will be top notch and running for the top 5 spots in the World of Outlaws.

I see the same comparisions here as we have in the years past and this is what the outlook is here in Tyler Reddick Racing camp.

Of course, we'll take all the wins Tyler can get.

Tyler for 2010 is scheduled to run the full World of Outlaws Late Model Division Series. Tyler will be back in his Broken Bow Records-Jason Aldean, America's Incredible Pizza, Gatorz, VP Racing Fuels, IMPACT Racing products and WSiB Motorsports Insurance sponsored Late model.  A slightly new graphic's package will be introduced.

I would look at these places to see Tyler's best chances of winning and my very first one is one "Big Daddy" of a race.

1.  Learnerville - Firecracker 100

2.  I-55

3.  Charlotte

4.  Can Am Speedway

5.  East Bay Raceway Park

6.  Volusia Speedway

Tyler has run very strong at all these tracks and should have good showings there this coming year!

Thank you,

Tyler Reddick Racing
