The 14 year old "the california kid" in B-main action! Speeds of up to 130 mphs

Opening night for the finale at Charlotte was the Topless Showdown and Tyler rolled into town ready to go! "I was worried as the youngester was just coming off the flu and was still having fever" said Tyler's Dad.

With Lucas Oil's top drivers present along with all the World of Outlaws regulars some 80+ of the very best Super Late Model drivers from across the country were on hand.

Tyler knocked down a 21st qualifying effort for the topless and would start 4th place in his heat.  Tyler would need to either advance or hold on to 4th to have a chance at making the show.

Tyler settled into 4th from the start and had to hold off Jimmy Owens and Brian Birkhoffer to retain 4th position.  Tyler did that in nice style and would be on the pole position for the B-main.

In the B-main Tyler didn't just win, he took charge and showed what I belive is more to come.  Tyler has always been really tough when let out front.  His stats from pole position are excellent and the speed he displays when out front is usually up a full notch. I was standing along the line up prior to Tyler going out and Talking with Owens and Birky and I thought we were going to have a real tough race on our hands.  I was concerned that we might not make it to the feature.  But hey,  I have Tyler! and the car running 2nd to Tyler in this race won the final night.  Congrats to Jimmy Owens and Tyler.

Tyler made his race week by having this great run and by beating many great drivers  several times over the course of the weekend.
