Tyler Reddick Racing rolled into Lawrenceburg Indiana for his debut at the new Lawrenceburg facility.
Lawrenceburg is home to a high banked 3/8ths mile track with race speeds hitting right near the century mark. Easily 97 mph down the straight-a-ways and a high corner speed thanks to the great wide corners and high banking.
The facility has wonderful grandstands for the fans with great restroom and snack bar.
Nearly 60 of the best 410 non-wing sprint car drivers arrived on the seen to make their claim for the $10,000 to win and National title.
Tyler's goals for the night were to put in a nice run and get familar with the track and let the other drivers get use to him as well.
Don't take us wrong, he was going to race hard and take everything he could get out on the track.
Starting 2nd row outside in his heat race Tyler did a very nice job to bring it home in 5th place against some pretty tough competition. Tyler's set was just a bit tight for the heat race so Tyler drove it accordingly.
That would position in one of the 2 B-mains after the C-main was run to determine the transfers.
Starting 5th row inside, Tyler made his run under dad's instruction to treat the race as a practice as only the top two were moving on. Tyler's B-main was loaded with many good cars. I'll list the finsh order here for your convienence. Tyler finished 12 in his B-main with a car that was too loose and didn't have enough forward bite.
The finish would place Tyler roughly around 38th out of 57 cars in the Lawranceburg Nationals. Not bad for the youngster.....
All in all, a very nice debut at the very fast Lawrenceburg Speedway.
